"From people for people" is not a slogan but the founder's guiding principle. Instead of egotistical pursuit of maximum profit at the cost of everything else, we look for the balance between economic success and social responsibility. The energy invested in commerce flows not just into financial gains but also into positive impact on society and the environment. This stance shapes every decision, from contract design to feature prioritisation.

Who stands behind Tubach

The initiator and founder is Tobias. Active in e-commerce since 2007, he has come to know the world of marketplaces in a depth few share. By the end of 2022, the conviction had grown that today's e-commerce marketplaces no longer match the spirit of the times, and that a fundamentally new marketplace was needed. Tubach is the consistent answer: a marketplace built by people for people, not for algorithms or shareholder returns.

Four values as decision criteria

Sustainability, ethics, fairness, responsibility, these four values are not slogans but touchstones. Sustainability means: spare resources, minimise waste, reduce ecological impact. Ethics and fairness mean: fair trade practices, respect for worker and consumer rights, fair distribution of opportunity. Responsibility means: social accountability, diversity, inclusion and the protection of privacy. We test every decision against these four values, not just against the quarterly result.

Privacy as a base principle

For us, data protection isn't a compliance topic but an architectural principle. We consider the long-term impact of our decisions on people and the environment, and likewise the impact of our data handling on user dignity. Fair working conditions, flexible work models and the deployment of technology for human good extend this stance. We push innovation when it helps tackle social and ecological challenges, not when it merely extracts data.

Ecological footprint as a benchmark

We are aware of our ecological footprint and do everything within our power for an effective and efficient operation. That starts with server architecture and ends with shipping. We check where energy comes from, how logistics are arranged and which materials end up in the supply chain. Full certification and documentation are part of it, all from one source so that claims remain verifiable. Sustainability isn't a label we stick on but a technical and organisational ongoing task that gets answered anew with every release.

Rethinking demand

There is no place here for products with an undignified production process. Instead of banning, we end the demand, by giving good alternatives precedence and making them visible. We question how trade in goods and services runs today and consistently align the marketplace with what is worth living for. This stance demands courage because it costs assortment in the short term. In the long term, however, it creates something classic marketplaces cannot offer: a place where buyers can browse with a clear conscience and sellers can offer without a race to the bottom.

Shop with Purpose

"Shop with Purpose. For a Conscious World" is our guiding line. It bundles what sets us apart from classic marketplaces: every purchase is a conscious decision that not only satisfies the buyer but contributes to a better world. We do business but at the same time call a movement into being, for environmental protection, social responsibility and ethical consumption. An act of consumption becomes an act of appreciation. That is our promise to everyone who trades and shapes with us.
